BCHL Today: Rizzo highlighted in BC feature, Three Stars of the Night, and more

Express forward Rizzo featured in British Columbia player series

Coquitlam Express forward Massimo Rizzo is this month’s featured player in the BCHL’s BC born feature. The 18-year-old Carolina Hurricanes draft pick was born in Burnaby, BC and has 13 goals and 19 assists in 33 games with Coquitlam this season.

Three Stars of the Night

First Star: Trail forward Braden Costello posted four assists.

Second Star: Chilliwack forward Nikita Nesterenko had a goal and three assists.

Third Star: Smoke Eaters forward Kent Johnson tallied two goals and an assist.

Honourable Mentions: Chiefs forward Tommy Lyons posted a goal and two assists. Smoke Eaters forward Jaden Senkoe and Prince George forward Corey Cunningham each scored two goals. Vernon forwards Logan Cash and JoJo Tanaka-Campbell along with Trail’s Max Kryski, Walker Erickson and Cody Schiavon each had a goal and an assist. Wenatchee defenceman Noah Lugli and Smoke Eaters forward Carson Briere each chipped in a pair of assists.
